Apparently it’s the Roman holiday of Consualia, on which day the Rape of the Sabine Women took place. The holiday is all about THE GRAIN THAT IS UNDERGROUND AND HIDDEN AND PROTECTED. Fascinating stuff.

You’ve got the Feast of We Don’t Know Who, Can’t Decide If It’s One God Or More Than One, Or Whether They’re Male Or Female, But It’s Probably Something Important; you’ve got the Let’s Dismember A Horse and Fight Over The Pieces Day; all kinds of fun stuff.
