And at around 12:30am someone I’ve never met in person summons me to a local bar, buys me a drink, and talks art and music and literature and life with me for an hour.
How very odd, in a nice way!
Cute, too 😉

Someone did a puppet madness version of The Confessions of Zeno. Boy howdy!
I’m weirder than any of you know, really. I mean, really!
My brain is being a pain.
I am now on two medications. I take 30 mg of Paxil at bedtime, and as of this morning I take 150 mg of Wellbutrin-XL upon waking. I shall refer to these drugs from now on as Slaxil and LOLBUTRIN. It’s been years since I took two brain pills at once. It makes me nervous a bit, but this doctor seems to be neither a nitwit nor a jerk.
I felt like shit most of today. I am concerned that I may lose my job. This would be unfortunate. It wouldn’t kill me or nothin’, but it wouldn’t be fun. It’s been very difficult for me to complete tasks.
The frightening part of my mental state is that cognition and memory have been poor lately. I got gasoline yesterday. Pulled into the station, next to the proper pump, killed the engine and then couldn’t figure out where the gas cap release was. It took me about ten minutes to find it. I have owned this car since 2000. I am a Car Guy, for goodness sakes. Also, I forget very basic things lately and can’t get to words easily. This has happened to me before when I am severely depressed, but not this badly.
I don’t like feeling slow and dumb. Here’s to that changing soon.
My Ignatz and Krazy bendytoys arrived, along with the latest Krazy & Ignatz book. Also, Michael Chabon’s comic book of The Escapist, based on the comic in Kavalier and Klay. That’s pretty cool.
Apothecary, bring me something to sweeten my imagination!

The phrase “vacationer alcohol use” is a nice euphemism.
Trekkies 2 was great. I think it’s even better than the first one. It’s international, so we have German and Brazilian and Serbian and Australian Trek fans. Gabriel is back and grown up, and a very personable guy. As usual the most frightening people are us Americans, including the return of the Arkansas Juror.
Gabriel himself showed up at the screening with the filmmakers. Pics to come. Our friend Francine was getting him to record her voicemail message as I left. I passed on the afterparty at the Hard Rock with Sacramento’s own “Warp 11”. I’m more of a No Kill I fan anyway.
The sad Serbians wishing they lived in the 24th century when Man is united were sort of heartbreaking.
The guy who sends scripts, story boards, and graphics to Paramount with huge friendly crabs in each one, often riding on starships, is a superstar among psychoceramics.
The most terrifying part was the filking.
I have no joke, I just like saying “Mi A Dong”.
Pete and I hit Disney’s California Adventure today and had a good time. They’ve improved the thing a lot since opening. We got soaked with water and also experienced g-forces. We ate at a theme restaurant and Minnie kissed me and groped him.
http://iggy.fringehead.org/album/pete-disney/ has the gory details.
At one point I heard people on the other side of a wall, that I could not see. I was waiting for Pete to come out of the restroom. The people were saying “Badgers badgers badgers badgers” so I yelled “MUSHROOM MUSHROOM” and I could hear them say “Yay!”
At another point, some streetballin’ homies were in line behind us talking about shoes. One of them said that when people show up on the court with bad shoes, they yell (to the drill instructor song):
PAYLESS SHOES AIN’T GO NO GRIP
YOU FALL DOWN AND BUST YO LIP
Some other pictures from the last few days are below the cut
Who wants to go with me?
We’ll be at D’s late afternoon /early evening tomorrow, for those of you who want to meet Pete before we ship him back to Lake Effect, NY.
