  2. Holy Week in Spain, they dress up in these medieval outfits in some towns and do processions. There are pilgrimages, penitents, etc. Locally of course it’s just “old time dress up” by now, I’m sure, but for me it’s more like AIIIIGH INQUISITION KKK HORROR MOVIE

      I don’t know much about the middle ages, but I don’t remember much about three-foot-high conical hats.

    1. . . nothing racist to see here, just move along now . . . these are traditional medieval outfits of catholic brotherhoods used before the Spanish Inquisition even existed
