Electro-Boy Gets Coffee

Laptop use is popular on the outdoor patio at Diedrich, especially since the free wifi went in. There’s only a couple of working plugs at one end of the place, so people who want to sit elsewhere have brought in an indoor/outdoor extension cord. It usually snakes through the bushes and over to the other side and sits near a table.

And then it rains, and the end of the extension cord sits in a puddle. And then a partial solution occurs, kinda at the wrong end for a solution. Yes, I did go unplug it after I shot this.

I wish people in cafes could go back to pretending to read books and pretending to write T.G.A.N. in their moleskines . . . it was so much safer.

My cat puked on my moleskine at 6am today. It was my datebook, but still. I just needed to share that with someone.

See! This is a sign: stop having a datebook. I don’t have a datebook and I forget appointments until the last minute, but I always do remember, and then I get all last-minute and anxious. Life’s more fun that way.

Oh! Believe me, I would love to, but my short-term memory is getting increasingly worse (due to my medication) and I can barely remember what I went into the next room to do, let alone what I was absolutely meaning to do when I got home later today. Although the best part is that half the time I write stuff in my datebook and then forget to look at the book until the next week, thus rendering notes and appointment reminders totally useless. Whee!

CONSIDERING SOME OF YOUR DATES LATELY THIS MAY HAVE BEEN A “COMMENTARY HAIRBALL” TYPE SITUATION
