This likely isn’t helpful, but in my world, there isn’t a surface clear enough, never mind clean enough, to put a tray that size so it would be flat.
In other news, I read last night that a layer of dust preserves the wood underneath. Should this be the case, I’ve got some of the most preserved wood in the world.
