I would say it’s kind of disturbing except for one thing .. forgetting Vietnam means repeating that whole chapter of our history in Iraq.
It’s a common mistake to think of war reenactments as glorifying war, when in fact they’re a means of keeping those experiences fresh in our minds as a way of learning their lessons and passing them on. Those lessons are only ignored at our peril ..
