It’s hard to be relative, but at the same time when you are struggling with something (depression, rejection, etc) it’s good to remember that even though other people have it worse off it doesn’t negate or invalidate your feelings. I have a problem with this whenever I feel upset. I’m like “I have a house, a car, people who love me, talent, and have never been hungry a day in my life” so…yes…my concerns seem small in a global scheme.
