argh. i hate that shit. it’s like all the American and British anti-apartheid movies of the 80s, they all featured some white liberal do-gooder in the hero role, putting his ass on the line to help some poor unfortunate black person. right. good reflection of reality. “white knight bucks establishment by doing the good and moral thing defending black friend” (who only plays a minor role in the film). if history was to be written by the movies, you wouldn’t know that a mass militant black underclass had anything to do with toppling apartheid.
