the girls won’t touch me ‘cause I got a misdirection
and livin’ at night ain’t helpin my complexion
DON’T NEED A CURE
DON’T NEED A CURE
DON’T NEED CURE NEED A FINAL SOLUTION
It's the heart's the crazy bus driver
the girls won’t touch me ‘cause I got a misdirection
and livin’ at night ain’t helpin my complexion
DON’T NEED A CURE
DON’T NEED A CURE
DON’T NEED CURE NEED A FINAL SOLUTION
I haven’t heard that song in *years*. Is it still even purchasable or must we exchange MP3s like coke fiends in the alley?

I think it’s the alley thing, but there might be reissues.

I think Peter Murphy covered it at one point too. Are you listening to him or Pere Ubu?

The ubu, of course. I like Pete ok but not so much with his attempts at covers of the greats. Unless you mean the ones with Bauhaus.

“Final Solution” is available on the Terminal Tower singles collection (was an LP, now a CD), and on the Pere Ubu box set. I was a big fan but never bought their classic period on CD, so the box set is really good if yer in the same boat.

Love that song!
I didn’t go but I heard that Rocket from the Tombs did it on their recent tour. I saw Pere Ubu last year and they did a version that was sort of slowed down but still heavy.
Also “Heart of Darkness” was an influence on Joy Division. That’s one of my favorite punk rock facts. Usually you hear about JD influencing others…
