‘Wouldn’t the sentence “I want to put a hyphen between the words Fish and And and And and Chips in my Fish-And-Chips sign” have been clearer if quotation marks had been placed before Fish, and between Fish and and, and and and And, and And and and, and and and And, and And and and, and and and Chips, as well as after Chips?’

Oy
I’ve heard this one before, and I’m convinced the actual point of the sentence is to see how many times you can say the word “and” in a row without being punched in the neck.
In case you’re wondering: if I’m around, not enough times to finish the sentence.

So, do you want to tell your “half half and half, half…half…..? half half half!?!” story now?

It is ALWAYS “better” to put “quotes” around “words” and “word phrases” because it “makes” the “sentence” seem a little more “clear” and “of course” makes you “look ‘cool'” whether or “not” you are “actually” “cool.” “Chicks” “dig” “quotes.” And you can quote me on that.
