maybe it’s because i’m just coming out of a nyquil coma, but i think some of the ideas implemented at that auction site are not so bad. i fucking hate ebay because of all of the bid manipulation and last minute “sniping.” swoopo seems like maybe it’s designed to punish users for being conniving dicks.
thanks! Once we add a few more features to the site we’ll be looking into expanding it beyond Portland. We’ll probably start with Seattle, though (I know they already have good data on their machines). One thing about Portland is that there are many active players who keep the site up to date. I wouldn’t want to open the site up to other cities, only to have the data quickly become stale.
