It looks like Proposition 98 has lost, which is good news for many reasons: not just because it was a bad law, but because enough people lurched off the couch and voted.

On top of that, the alternative eminent domain proposition passed, which makes the outcome on Prop 98 moot.

OH GOOD! This is the first I’ve seen of the results, but I was paralyzed with fear and guilt on Monday as I was rushing around getting ready to be away all day yesterday and having forgotten to absentee-vote. So I am very glad.
