IMHO that’s the only song worth listening to from the Prieboy era. But it’s one hell of a song despite the wooden 80s performance. Someone should cover it.

actually, i consider that album – seven days in sammystown – an essential own. good from start to finish.
and let’s not forget that mr. prieboy also penned a lovely ballad for concrete blond with the lyrics –
“i told the priest, don’t count on any second coming.
god got his ass kicked the first time he came down here slumming
he had the balls to come, the gall to die and then forgive us
though i don’t wonder why, i wonder what he thought it would get is”
and yes god, please consider that a death threat.
