The war with Iran has already started.
I’d love to dismiss it because Ritter has a loud mouth and because it’s on Al jazeera.
But Ritter has been right way too much, and if they’re the only ones who’ll print it, maybe that’s because it’s true?
I’m not such a big fan of the New Necessary 581% Paranoid Lifestyle, here.
Well, ordinarily I’d say “Are you kidding? With what army? The army is stretched so thin already that they can’t even handle their existing two post-war occupations.”
But then my mouth would keep running on auto-pilot, and say “There’s no way they could handle another military operation, unless they instituted… a massive… draft…” And then I’d trail off with a confused look on my face, once I realized that this isn’t as farfetched as it used to be.
So I’ll just avoid the entire issue. Instead, for your amusement, I offer you: the face of modern journalism!

It appears that Ritter and the Middle Eastern world have something in common: they both desperately need someone to edit their prose.

The only news I’ve heard has been about the increase in violence Iraq. They don’t even mention Afghanistan much anymore. I’m really disturbed by this. At this point, I don’t think half-assed empire building would shock me much.

This gives me more stress, stretched out over time, than when I nearly blammoed it in that intersection that one day. I can see it but I can’t stop it. At least I know the driving kerfluff turned out fine and nobody got hurt.
