Looks like Irish Dan had it backwards

..and the_idiot_heart had it right. My intensive search of the interweb shows that Bushmills is the Irish Protestant Whiskey and Jameson is the Irish Catholic Whiskey, at least historically. Bushmills being in County Antrim, etc.

I hope Dan doesn’t go back to the Old Sod and make that mistake. Maybe they’d excuse him as American, but probably not.

Also note that one company owns all of it now, and that they just move the stuff around, making it all MOOT.

As a nondenominational Protestant from California let me just say that I enjoy whiskey and whisky, whether from Ireland, Scotland, or Kentucky. glug.
