lyrics du jour

Doctor, I believe that I heard her
Calling out from beyond the flood
Doctor, in my heart there was murder
There wasn’t no body and there wasn’t no blood

Every cloud has a silver lining
Ever doubt has an answer, I know
But in my heart there’s no light burning
Just emptiness, and faded glow
Raining down on the side I’ll never show

  1. At the risk of looking shallow, I have to post some lyrics from the songe currently on my headphones….
If you can choose it, who can refuse it,
    Y’all be chooglin’ tonight.
Go on, take your pick, right from the git go,
    You gotta choogle tonight.
    (primal screaming)
    Keep on Chooglin’
    Keep on Chooglin’
    Keep on Chooglin’
    Chooglin’,
    Chooglin’.
    (more screaming)
Thanks Mister Fogerty, philosopher of our times. Or at least my parents’ times. I think chooglin’ gives you AIDS now.

      1. I secretly downloaded a CCR album from eMusic in ancient days and stored it on my laptop. 🙂 Don’t worry, it hasn’t polluted your list!

      2. It’s basically “Born on the Bayou” with different incomprehensible lyrics. Same album (Bayou Country). I think they had trouble filling it considering it contains two nearly identical songs and one 14 minute dirge.

      1. Mister Fogerty can’t answer your question at this time because he choogled his choogler off in the 70s. Please send cards, flowers, and well wishes to his myriad bastard chooglettes.
