What’s wrong with American religion

From the Irvine World News (great name for a paper) news briefs:

Mike Regele took over the reigns [sic] Oct. 1 as president of the board for Families Forward. After leaving the school board, he joined the board of Families Forward.

The experience he will call upon to guide the board comes from years of working with churches and congregations. He was an associate pastor of Mariners Church in Newport Beach for three years and then returned to seminary for ordination in the Presbyterian Church in 1988. He and a partner formed a consulting agency specializing in strategic planning and church financial management. Today his company, Percept, provides demographic information for church planners at local, regional and national levels.

I know this guy, he lives down the street and was a family friend.. kinda…
One of the strangest people I have ever met, and a tech support nightmare. He used to call me for help with his computer. Not only does he teach (or used to) but he owns his own garage door repair company. On of his quirks is that on his trucks he doesn’t take off the paper plates, becuase he thinks it makes them look old. He has 2 great sons that somehow ended normal, and a much younger daughter. The guy is up with Huel Howser on starge people scale.
