Coffee Break Spanish is a good place to start in the absence of classes. I really enjoy the podcasts.

I had a friend in the Spanish grad program at UCI who would tutor me; we would meet at Diedrich’s. He’s moved on now but if you know someone like that, it might be better than a class.

    Rosetta Stone

If you’re not a stickler for classroom setting, I would recommend Rosetta Stone. I did a demo on German and took a small hiatus–still remember a good portion of what I learned. By far, “easier” than classroom setting. :) Good luck!
