Jenny McCarthy threw up in my backyard. She’s a lot of fun. She’s also had a lot of work.

“For a moment I thought about submitting a William Carlos Williams poem and seeing if they noticed, but snark is a lot of work sometimes so I just had a Fatburger and went home.”

I worked for Aahs! at the same time Gary C. worked for Licorice Pizza (they were both owned by Jim Greenwood), and I remember him moving on to Rhino (he always gave me a break on records). I bumped into him from time to time, usually at shows – always a nice guy, good to share a drink or swap a story with.

It always struck me kinda weird to hear him on KCRW, too.

    about submitting–

    a William Carlos Williams poem
    and seeing if they noticed

but snark is a lot of work sometimes

Jim the owner of Licorice Pizza was my friend’s from high school’s uncle, and another friend was on a US tour wiht the band Gary C managed. They were in the South someplace setting up and a local asked if they were “some of those hebro-sekshals”
